I loved "The Lord is My Shepherd". It was beautiful and so touching. I just cried... beautiful.
There was one other piece that just... it was beautiful. It's called "Sing Me To Heaven". It made me reflect on the moments surrounding Mercydez's passing. That is a tender place in my heart that I don't allow myself to visit frequently. It's too hard. It's a sacred place to visit, and more than anything I want to visit. I just can't frequent it too much or I ache too deeply. But, that song was powerful.
We are doing well. I ask myself, "What does 'well' mean?" To be honest, I don't know. Sometimes it means we are happy. Sometimes it means we are sad. Sometimes it means we just are. Again, it's hard to explain.
...speaking of music, I wanted to spread the word... Paul Cardall (click on his name for more info) is a musician from around here (Utah). He belongs to our Heart Group and he is awaiting a heart transplant.

There is benefit concert going on in his behalf on Monday, April 6th. Peter Breinholt, Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, and Kurt Bestor will be some of those performing that night. All proceeds are being donated to Paul Cardall. If you are interested in attending, you can purchase tickets by clicking HERE. We have been greatly blessed by those around us, I just want to help spread the word that the opportunity to help another in need is at the door.
Nic and I are hoping to attend.
Thank you for your prayers. We have felt them.
We want you to know, we do not doubt that families are eternal in nature. Our little Mercydez still lives. We will see her again.

That is so awesome! I love beautiful music too, it can be so moving. I am glad you are doing "well".
Keep doing "well" and I hope you will be able to visit that sacred place as often as you like.
We love you!!!
I too am a great lover of music. It truly speaks peace to my soul, sometimes when nothing else can. Doing well. I would have to agree that "doing well" is just a broad meaning as to how someone is really doing. We are glad you guys are hanging in there. And I am so glad that the promise of spring is here with warm beautiful weather coming our way. The sun seems to warm the soul, along with physically warming our bodies. So just know we think of you guys, pretty much all the time.
Heart hugs,
Emily
That is so neat they did that for your princess. She is a sweet spirit and will live on forever. Music is a powerful thing. I am glad you guys are doing well, Well is just fine. I know you can feel whatever you need right now. Hope you can make the concert, we most likely wont make it, Kylie can't be without Mommy for 2 minutes. Hope you can go.
I'm glad you guys are doing "well". Grief is always hard to explain. It always seems like the ocean waves to me. One second it's crashing down on you and you're completely consumed by it, and then the next second there's a calmness, and it feels almost peaceful.
I don't know if it would help or not, but if you ever feel like you need a good snuggle, we'd love to have you come meet and snuggle Alice. I know she's not your Mercy, but if it would help at all, she loves to snuggle!
How deserving Mercydez is to have a concert dedicated in her honor. She has left behind many beautiful memories! And Ashley, you and Nic are too humble to admit, but how deserving the two of you are to have your beautiful daughter remembered in that way. We think of you often. We pray for your strength! Love, Stacy, Chance, and Corbin
You guys don't know me but I am in Nic's parents ward. I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy's for you guys at this time. I have been praying for you and your family. I hope you can continue to feel the love that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for you.
Thank you for continuing the updates! I think of you often. How wonderful that music can inspire and heal us in ways nothing else can.
Even through your pain and sorrow you continue to inspire me. You are such a wonderful person who I know our Heavenly Father looks upon and is very proud. I hope that you continue to feel peace at this time and I will keep you in my prayers. Thank you again for sharing so much of your life
I also love the calming affect of music. One of Hope's favorite things were listening to her Baby Symphony CD that we received from Emfamil after her birth. She even listened to it the last day of her mortal life and it brought not only her comfort but I received much comfort as I listened to it not knowing that would be the last time I would hold her.
I think that is AWESOME that they dedicated the concert to Mercydez as she and your family is very deserving to be recognized of the amazing strength and courage you all have had and continue to have.
